Ok, so what’s next? Now that we apparently have all heard about the whole “Controversial Miley Cyrus photo shoot,” what do we expect is to come next? Although Miley did apologize, will that really be enough? After all, it is all over the news, on the radio, TV, internet, etc… how can you NOT know about it? So, Miley apologizes… hmm, I don’t believe that’s where this all ends. She can’t take back the photo shoot; she can’t undo what she has already done. Yes, she was dressed and didn’t necessarily show any nudity, she was close to it. For her 5 and 6 year old fans that really look up to her and admire her, it’s a shame. Will her fans now think its ok to prance around and pose nude? This, after all is just my opinion, however, feedback is always much appreciated! Thanks!

WHILE topless scandal teen star Miley Cyrus hides in the hills after her sexy Vanity Fair photo shoot, Disney executives are reportedly plotting to push her to the side in favour of an untainted young star.

Executives at the company that produces the Hannah Montana television show are eyeing less er-known Selena Gomez to step into the whole someness gap created by Miley Cyrus’ photographic escapades with Vanity Fair’s Annie Leibovitz, E! Online has reported.

The New York Post said that like Cyrus, Gomez is 15, has dark hair and innocent good looks.

“I’m told Disney ex ecutives are so worried about Cyrus’ recent controversies that, more than ever, they want to make Gomez an even bigger star,” wrote E! columnist Mark Malkin.

Selena Gomez now stars in her own Disney Channel show, Wizards of Waverly Place. Coincidentally, she has also appeared on Cyrus’ blockbuster, Hannah Montana, as a rival pop star.

“Selena sings and acts and is really young,” a source told Malkin. “She is going to be the next Miley Cyrus. (Disney executives) really want this.”

The young Cyrus and photo diva Leibovitz have created an international firestorm with Vanity Fair pics showing the all-American Tennessee girl with a bare back, turgid lips and suggestively tousled hair – all while wrapped in nothing more than a piece of cloth.

Cyrus has already apologized to her fans. Her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, has expressed outrage at the shots, which he said were taken without his knowledge after he left the set of the photo shoot.

Miley Cyrus is now lying low until the controversy dies down. Her people declined to comment any further yesterday.

Also yesterday, the stylist who created Miley’s lurid look took offense at accounts referring to the cloth she wore as a “bed sheet.”

“It’s a duchesse satin stole, Champagne, specially made,” said Michael Roberts. “It was 83 inches long. She’s not wrapped in something skimpy. She had her jeans on. She looked at the screen and loved the picture.”

So, this is how we define music (according to merriam-webster.com). But, where is the TRUE etymology of music? Yes, music is derived from Greek mousikē (tekhnē) however, it is ultimately derived from mousa, Greek for muse. In ancient Greece, mousikē was used and understood universally to be in relations with any of the arts or sciences governed by the Muses.

Today, musichas become one of the most powerful & influential aspects of our society. More and more we find ourselves counting down the days until whatever concert’s tickets come out on sale; trying time and time again to be “caller 96″ on B96 or “caller 103″ on KissFm so that we can win the tickets to concerts. We find ourselves hypnotized by television reality series such as “American Idol” and “So You Think You Can Dance” and what not. Every morning were awoken by the blaring sound of the radio or the familiar tune of our favorite song ringing from our cell phones. iPod seems to be coming out with some new gadget every other week, and iTunes sells millions of songs a day! I’d say that music basically runs our lives and helps us get through each day.
